Remember a Loved One

Thank you for deciding to pay tribute to the legacy of your loved one by initiating a fundraising campaign to support MD Anderson Cancer Center. Where does the money go?

All donations, 100% of funds raised, support The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center’s mission to eliminate cancer in Texas, the nation and the world.

Is there a registration fee?

No. There is no registration fee or minimum fundraising requirement.

Can the funds that I raise support a specific area of MD Anderson’s mission?

Yes. When registering, you can select one of the following mission areas: greatest need, research, prevention, education or patient care. If you have a specific project in mind that you're passionate about, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us at DChacon@MDAnderson.org. We're here to support your vision!

Is there a minimum age requirement to create a fundraising page?

You must be 18 years of age or older to create a fundraising page. Individuals under 18 years of age must have a parent or legal guardian create a fundraising page on their behalf and agree to the Terms and Conditions.

Fundraising

How can I share my fundraising page link with friends and family?

Please visit your Participant Center to access and share your link to your fundraising page. This can be shared via email, social media and text messages. For those using the Fundraise to End Cancer mobile app (iPhone or Android) there is a QR code option to share your fundraising page.

Can I access my fundraising page on my phone?

Yes. The Fundraise to End Cancer platform is mobile friendly. Download the mobile app to quickly thank donors from the palm of your hand.

Can I use MD Anderson’s logo on my fundraising materials?

You may use any of the MD Anderson branded materials in your Participant Center. These materials may not be altered. Use of MD Anderson's logo is not permitted.

Can I create my own materials with MD Anderson’s logo?

If you wish to use MD Anderson’s name on materials not provided through Participant Center, you must complete and submit the Third Party Event form. Use of MD Anderson's logo is not permitted.

What’s the deadline for sending in the funds I raise?

Please turn in all funds raised through your fundraiser to MD Anderson no later than 30 days after your event date.

How long will my fundraising page stay open?

Your fundraising page will remain active for a period of one calendar year and will be closed on December 31. Should you wish to continue your fundraising efforts, you can re-launch your page in the following year.

Are there specific rules I must follow when fundraising on behalf of MD Anderson?

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your fundraiser on behalf of MD Anderson is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and is conducted in accordance with MD Anderson’s mission, values and policies. MD Anderson reserves the right and sole discretion to remove any fundraising pages from the Fundraise to End Cancer website due to noncompliance with any such applicable laws, regulations, values and policies.

Is my fundraising page public?

Yes. Your fundraising page will be public and searchable on online search engines.

What should I do with any cash donations that I collect?

Please convert all cash donations to money orders before mailing to:

I’m an MD Anderson employee. Can I create a Fundraise to End Cancer page?

Yes. Creating a Fundraise to End Cancer page is a great way to give back to MD Anderson. You must follow all applicable MD Anderson policies in conducting your fundraiser, including the Charitable Activities, Charitable Expenditures, and Solicitation Policy (#ADM0115).

Donations

Are donations tax deductible?

Yes, your gift is tax deductible to the extent permitted by law. For a copy of your receipt email Giving@MDAnderson.org

Can I make a check donation?

Yes. Please make checks payable to MD Anderson Cancer Center. Include Remember a Loved One and the name of the person hosting the fundraiser in the memo line. Send checks, along with this form to:
